Autumn has arrived in the Chamonix valley, and this time last year the first snow was falling. In town, talk about the new winter ski season has started and most talks include early snowfall and a cold winter. The ducks are getting all excited and we can’t wait for Les Grands Montets to open its lifts. We’ve done a little research for you to see when you can expect to get your gear out of storage and head up the hill. Bear in mind that Les Grands Montets will open during the weekends if there is enough snow before the official opening date! Now let’s put our hands together and pray. For now, the opening dates of the Chamonix ski and snowboard areas are planned as follows: Les Grands Montets: 5 December (only during the weekend, full opening 18 December) Le Tour and Vallorcine: 19 December Brévent and Flégère: 19 December |
